What You Can Do...
We're asking for your financial support to cover items not provided by the City -- more benches, water stations, shade shelters, additional trees, and other enhancements, such as permanent agility equipment and additional tunnels.

Please help by becoming a member of POOCH with a minimum donation of $25. The Pasadena Humane Society supports POOCH and Alice's Park by establishing a POOCH fund.

Make your tax-deductible check payable to the Pasadena Humane Society (please note on the check it's for POOCH) and send it to POOCH, 2303 Glen Canyon Road, Altadena, CA 91001-3539. We'll ship your T-shirt with a $100 donation; otherwise, add $4.00 for shipping. (Sizes: S and XL)

Use Paypal  Head for Paypal, click the Send Money tab and type steve@pasadenapooch.org in the Recipient's E-mail field.

Ralphs Teams Up to Help POOCH
For every Ralphs Card number that we submit, POOCH receives up to 5 percent of the total purchases made on that card. You can start supporting POOCH every time you buy groceries!

Participation in this fundraiser is free of charge to you and will provide POOCH funds for maintaining Alice's Park.

It's easy to do. Head for the Ralphs Enrollment site, click on Participant, and fill in the fields (you can ignore "e-mail" and "home phone"). Use POOCH's NPO number -- 82952 -- and you'll find your 13-digit Ralphs card number under the bar code on the back of your Ralphs card. (Make sure you don't use spaces.)

Who We Are...

POOCH consists of four people -- Vince Destefano, Lisa Mrozek, and Judy and Steve Bass -- as well as a handful of volunteers. We, and others, lobbied the City of Pasadena for more then a decade, asking for an off-leash dog area. ("Parks are for people," they said at the start of our quest, "not dogs.")

A tremendous thanks goes to Penelope Douglas, the daughter of the late Alice Frost Kennedy, a Pasadena philanthropist and avid Humane Society supporter. Her continued help, as well as her family's substantial financial support, were instrumental in the park's creation. With great gratitude, the off-leash area will be named "Alice's Park."

Thanks also to Pasadena Councilmember Steve Haderlein for his determination and ongoing support which have made the off-leash area a reality.
